Mutual funds and securities
- The AMC concerned. Every Asset Management Company has an Investor Relations Officer whose contact details are published in the scheme information document and on their website.
- SEBI SCORES. The SEBI Complaints Redress System at scores.sebi.gov.in, for complaints relating to securities markets and market intermediaries.
- SEBI SMART ODR. Online dispute resolution at smartodr.in, where a complaint remains unresolved.
- AMFI. Complaints about a distributor's conduct may be made to the Association of Mutual Funds in India at amfiindia.com.
Insurance
- The insurer's grievance cell in the first instance.
- IRDAI Bima Bharosa at bimabharosa.irdai.gov.in.
- Insurance Ombudsman at cioins.co.in.
Banks and NBFCs
- The lender's nodal officer in the first instance.
- RBI Complaint Management System at cms.rbi.org.in, under the Reserve Bank Integrated Ombudsman Scheme.
What we cannot resolve
We want to be honest about the limits of what a distributor can fix:
- Scheme performance. A fall in NAV is a market outcome, not a service failure. No complaint mechanism can recover investment losses arising from market movements.
- Claim decisions. Insurance claim acceptance or rejection rests with the insurer under the policy terms.
- Loan sanction. Approval, rate and terms rest with the bank or NBFC.
What we can and will address: service delays, errors in processing, incorrect information given by us, unsuitable recommendations, delays in transmission or redemption, and any conduct by us that falls short of the AMFI Code of Conduct.
Register of complaints
We maintain a record of every complaint received, the action taken and the date of resolution, and we make it available to regulators and to AMFI on request.
